Slack Integration

Connect Quackback to Slack to get notified about new feedback and updates in your team channels.

What You Get

With Slack connected, you can:

• Get notified when new feedback is submitted
• See status changes in real-time
• Get alerts for new comments
• Link directly to posts from Slack

Connecting Slack

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. Click Connect Slack
3. Select your Slack workspace
4. Authorize Quackback
5. Choose a default channel

Choosing a Channel

Select which Slack channel receives notifications:

• Pick an existing channel
• Or create a new #feedback channel

You can change this later in settings.

Notification Types

Configure which events trigger Slack notifications:

Enable or disable each type in settings.

Slack Message Format

Notifications include:

• Post title
• Author name
• Board name
• Vote count
• Direct link to the post

Multiple Channels

Route different notifications to different channels:

• New posts → #feedback-inbox
• Status changes → #product-updates
• High-vote posts → #product-team

Disconnecting Slack

To disconnect:

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. Click on Slack
3. Click Disconnect

You can reconnect anytime.

Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Notifications

• Check the channel is correct
• Ensure Quackback app is in the channel
• Verify event types are enabled

Wrong Channel

• Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack
• Update the channel selection

Permission Issues

• Re-authorize the integration
• Ensure you have admin access in Slack
