Control which notifications you receive.

Customize which email notifications you receive.

Accessing Preferences

For Portal Users

  1. Sign in to the portal
  2. Click your profile menu
  3. Select Notification Settings

For Team Members

  1. Go to SettingsProfile
  2. Find Notification Preferences

Email Notification Settings

Status Change Emails

Default: On

Receive emails when posts you're subscribed to change status:

  • Moving to Planned, In Progress, Complete, etc.
  • Shows the new status
  • Links to the post

New Comment Emails

Default: On

Receive emails when someone comments on posts you're subscribed to:

  • Shows who commented
  • Preview of the comment
  • Link to discussion

Mute All Emails

Default: Off

Globally disable all email notifications:

  • No emails from Quackback
  • Still subscribed to posts
  • Can unmute anytime

Per-Post Controls

On any post, you can:

Subscribe

Start receiving updates for this specific post.

Unsubscribe

Stop receiving updates for this post only.

Mute

Temporarily pause notifications without unsubscribing.

One-Click Unsubscribe

Every email includes an unsubscribe link:

  • Unsubscribe from this post — Just this post
  • Unsubscribe from all — All Quackback emails

One click, no sign-in required.

Email Frequency

Notifications are sent in real-time:

  • Status change → Immediate email
  • New comment → Immediate email

Digest options (daily/weekly summaries) coming soon.

Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Emails

  1. Check spam folder
  2. Verify email address is correct
  3. Check "Mute All" isn't enabled
  4. Ensure you're subscribed to the post

Too Many Emails

  1. Unsubscribe from low-priority posts
  2. Disable new comment emails
  3. Consider muting temporarily

Wrong Email Address

Contact the workspace admin to update your email.
