Organizing Feedback

Use statuses, tags, and assignments to keep feedback organized.

Organizing Feedback

As feedback grows, organization becomes critical. Quackback gives you three main tools to keep things manageable.

Organization Tools

Statuses

Track where feedback is in your workflow. Every post has exactly one status:

  • Open — New, awaiting review
  • Under Review — Being evaluated
  • Planned — Approved for development
  • In Progress — Currently being built
  • Complete — Shipped!
  • Closed — Won't be implemented

Tags

Categorize feedback by theme, area, or type. Posts can have multiple tags:

  • Feature area: "Mobile", "API", "Dashboard"
  • Type: "Bug", "Enhancement", "Integration"
  • Priority: "Quick Win", "Major Project"

Assignments

Assign feedback to team members. This helps:

  • Distribute workload
  • Track responsibility
  • Filter by owner

Organization Strategy

Start Simple

Don't over-organize from day one. Start with:

  • Default statuses (they work for most teams)
  • 3-5 tags for major categories
  • Assign only when someone takes ownership

Evolve As Needed

Add complexity when you feel the pain:

  • Too many "Open" posts? Add "Triaged" or "Backlog" status
  • Can't find mobile feedback? Add a "Mobile" tag
  • Team growing? Require assignments
