Comments & Discussions

How users discuss feedback through threaded comments.

Comments & Discussions

Comments let users add context, share use cases, and discuss ideas. They turn one-way feedback into a conversation.

How Comments Work

  • Users can comment on any post
  • Comments support threaded replies — reply to specific comments
  • Comments can receive emoji reactions (👍 ❤️ 🎉 😄 🤔 👀)
  • Users must be signed in to comment

Why Comments Matter

Add Context

The original post might be brief. Comments let users explain:

  • Why they need this feature
  • How they'd use it
  • Workarounds they're currently using

Surface Edge Cases

Other users might raise considerations the original poster didn't think of:

  • "This should also work on mobile"
  • "What about users who have X?"

Show Engagement

Active discussion shows you (and other users) that people care about this idea.

Team Comments

When you or a team member comments, your comment is marked with a team badge. This helps users identify official responses.

Team comments are great for:

  • Asking clarifying questions
  • Sharing workarounds
  • Explaining your thinking
  • Providing status updates

Official Responses

For important updates, use the Official Response feature instead of a regular comment. Official responses:

  • Appear prominently at the top of the post
  • Are clearly marked as from your team
  • Notify all subscribers

Use official responses for:

  • Major status updates
  • Final decisions
  • Launch announcements

Comment Notifications

Users who are subscribed to a post get notified when:

  • Someone posts a new comment
  • A team member replies

You can configure notification behavior in Notification Settings.

Moderating Comments

As a team member, you can:

  • Delete inappropriate comments
  • View the full comment history

Reactions

Users can react to comments with emoji. This is a lightweight way to show agreement without adding a new comment.
